Significant experience of working in a support or care environment is essential
Knowledge and experience of relevant client groups to the service.
Experience of assessing and m / families or children and young
needs and skills (as appropriate).
Experience of person-centred support and safety planning.
Experience of co-ordinating or developing other support workers
Experience of inducting, co-ordinating and supporting volunteers (where
applicable).
Experience of overseeing landlord and housing management duties, including
re-letting of rooms, collection of rents and reporting repairs (where applicable).
Experience of taking formal tenancy action, up-to and including court
proceedings (where applicable).
Experience of working as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of housing benefit, income support and other welfare benefits
is desirable.
Knowledge of issues affecting individuals who require support.
Experience of supporting clients / families or children and young people (where
appropriate) to access the resources available to a local community
Knowledge of the statutory framework of provision of support for the client group
/ families or young people (as appropriate).
Knowledge of SMART principles
Basic understanding of housing law i.e. tenancies, evictions etc.
Good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements e.g. Care Quality
