We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Assistant to join our Holiday Hire Boat team at The Falkirk Wheel You will support the FHB Manager to operate a 6-day front of house operation for the Holiday Hire business The role is offered on a fixed-term basis (March to October), and with a starting salary of 26,110 (Band B, FTE). Working hours 22.5 hours/3 days per week. Primary responsibilities of the role : The FHB General Assistant supports FHB Manager to operate a 6 day front of house operation for the Holiday Hire business. Their role is to ensure the office is available for the arrival and disembarkation of customers and to comply with all systems and procedures. To always ensure provision of a consistent high level of customer service in all aspects of the customers journey with the Holiday Boats experience. There is a 50/50 split between Office/Administrative/Customer Service duties & Operational duties on bankside such as Boat Cleaning & Preparation/Customer Handover and familiarisation. Qualifications and knowledge required: Knowledge working within the following areas: Hospitality & Tourism Full UK Driving Licence Good communication skills with a passion to deliver exceptional customer service. Strong Health & Safety Awareness Computer literate with experience of using MS Office Packages Skills and experience required: Work collaboratively to deliver the day-to-day operation and coordinate bookings. Keen eye with attention detail. Maintain and organise inventory, ensuring everything is in good working order and storage facilities remain tidy. Uphold safety standards and protocols, prioritising the wellbeing of all customers. Administrative duties, including cash handling, email enquiries, bookings, sales, and marketing.
