Senior Clinical Lead Nurse

Job overview
We are eager to recruit a Senior Clinical Lead Nurse passionate about older people's mental health and quality service delivery and care. The postholder will work with the wider MDT, internal and external stakeholders including care homes and families to support those who are experiencing a crisis and present with behaviours which challenge within their own environments.
The post holder will clinically lead the staff working in the team and work with the team manager and the older people's mental health leadership team to support people to get their needs met in a proactive manner.
The successful candidate will be experienced working with older people with mental health needs and/or dementia.
Main duties of the job
The care home and outreach teams are currently undergoing a period of transformation, we therefore seek someone who is not only passionate about working with older people who have a mental health condition or have been diagnosed with dementia and are currently presenting with behaviours which challenge; but also passionate about driving forward quality care.

Person specification
Experience
* Experience of working with individuals with complex health needs and behaviours that challenge.
* Experience working with safeguarding concerns and ability to demonstrate leadership in this area. Experience in supervision of clinical staff.
* Experience of working in older people settings.
* Demonstrate a high level of clinical skill, clinical assessment and hold an in-depth knowledge of risk management, positive behavioural support, and mental health within the learning disability population.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Learning Disability or Registered Mental Health Nurse
* Current NMC Registration
