Job Title: Solar PV / EV Design Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE + Company Benefits

Key Responsibilities:
Use AutoCAD and other design software to design electrical systems and components for Solar PV and EV charging systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to move design projects forward smoothly and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Perform site assessments to ensure technical feasibility and recommend optimal solutions.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in the EV charging and Solar PV sectors.
Provide technical guidance to staff.
Qualifications:
Recognized qualification in Solar PV and / or Electric Vehicle (EV) charging system design is desirable.
Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., IET, REA) is a plus.
Experience:
Proven experience in electrical design, with a focus on Solar PV and/or EV charging systems.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, PV*SOL, Helioscope, or similar design tools.
Knowledge of PV and EV system components, compliance requirements, and installation best practices.
Experience with project management, including design documentation and communication.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong analytical skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external clients.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects effectively.
A keen interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
