Job Type:Part-Time 18.5 hours per week.
About Us:We are dedicated to supporting children, young people, and their families. Our team works collaboratively to ensure the safety, development, and well-being of those we serve. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Family Time Workers to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Risk Assessments:Contribute to risk assessments and protect children and young people from danger, harm, and abuse.
2. Intervention Planning:Plan and record interventions effectively, supporting and contributing to the overall assessment held by referring social care teams.
3. Quality Interventions:Deliver quality interventions within the Framework for Action parenting capacity guidance.
4. Child Development Support:Offer support and evidence-based interventions around child development using EYFS (Early Years Framework Strategy) guidance and behaviour management strategies.
5. Family Partnership:Work in partnership with families on protection plans in their own homes, where appropriate.
6. Professional Communication:Communicate and work with a range of professionals and agencies, ensuring a seamless service for children and families, managing, and providing information to support effective decision-making.
7. Collaboration with Social Workers:Work alongside social workers, contributing to assessments and care plans.
8. Escort Services:Escort children and families as appropriate.
9. Case Load Management:Manage a case load effectively, delivering and reporting on agreed work tasks.
10. Mentorship:Support, mentor, and supervise students and volunteers across a range of service delivery.
11. Additional Duties:Perform any other duties in line with the post, which may be required from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant qualifications in social care or a related field.
* Experience working with children, young people, and families.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals.
* Knowledge of EYFS and behaviour management strategies.
* Ability to manage a case load effectively.
