We are recruiting 2 Teaching Assistants at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 35 Hours Contract Type: Permanent/Part Time/Term Time Only Location: Y Cwmpawd Gilfach This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider School Improvement Team. We pay an attractive salary of £21,285.03 - £22,686.90 and offer access to training and development opportunities. We require 2 Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work across our Cwmpawd Portfolio EOTAS Provision. Our provision caters for young people with mainly Behavioral, Emotional and Social Difficulties. The placement will be initially at the Tŷ Gilfach site though this will change as new buildings are developed. Successful applicants will be required to bring a willingness to work hard, to develop empathy and understanding of the specific needs of each young person. They will be expected to follow all policies of our Cwmpawd Provision, supporting colleagues to ensure we facilitate the best possible learning outcomes for all young people. For the role, we ask that you have: A Relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or experience. A Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales in numeracy and literacy. For example NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. Full working knowledge of relevant national/foundation phase curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.
