Are you full of ideas to bring connection, creativity, and joy into people’s lives? Looking for a role where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference? We’d love you to join us as an Activities Coordinator!
At CrossReach, we believe life should be rich with meaningful experiences — whatever your age or stage. It's about having fun, yes — but it's also about building confidence, sparking memories, and creating a real sense of belonging.
What’s the role?
You’ll plan and lead a wide range of activities that help people stay active, connected and engaged — whether that's a music session, a walk in the fresh air, an arts and crafts project, or a quiet one-to-one chat over a cup of tea. Every day brings new possibilities.
A typical day might include:
1. Planning activities based on people’s interests, skills and choices.
2. Supporting both group sessions and individual activities.
3. Organising outings that suit different needs and energy levels.
4. Helping to create a warm, welcoming environment alongside a supportive team.
5. Making sure everyone’s wellbeing, safety, and dignity are always top priority.
What you’ll bring:
6. Enthusiasm, creativity, and the ability to adapt to different people's needs.
7. A positive approach that encourages participation — big or small.
8. An SVQ Level 3 in Social Care (or a willingness to work towards it with our support).
9. Basic computer skills (just enough for emails, e-learning, and keeping things organised).
10. Respect for our Christian ethos and for the diverse backgrounds of the people we support.
We'd also love it if you have:
11. Experience working with older people or in a similar activities-based role.
12. A flexible, thoughtful approach

CrossReach has been at the forefront of high quality social care for over 150 years, providing loving care to people of all ages and supporting them to live life to the full whatever their circumstances. During that time, we have worked hard to understand the needs of the people who turn to us for help and with them have been at the forefront of pioneering services which have literally changed thousands of lives for the better.
Today we are one of the largest social care providers in Scotland, with experience across a broad range of services. We are still growing, learning, and improving, thanks to the incredible people we have the privilege to support, and all those who support us. We are part of the Church of Scotland and aim to provide social care services and specialist resources in Christ’s name to further the caring work of the Church to people in challenging circumstances.
As we do our work in Christ’s name you must be respectful of our Christian Ethos and be able to work within it.
