We are looking to recruit a Quality Technician who will be responsible for the inspection of customer parts, performing laboratory duties including the analysis of test specimens, and assisting in the maintenance and monitoring of the site’s quality management system.
Main responsibilities:
1. Perform final Inspection, being responsible for the quality of product leaving the factory guided by job instructions, standards and specifications.
2. Carry out other inspection duties, such as PPI, as required, in support of production.
3. Carry out all laboratory testing requirements on test specimens in accordance with customer specifications and international standards.
4. Maintain the laboratory test specimen results database/spreadsheet.
5. Compile and publish laboratory reports indicating results of test specimens as requested.
6. Participate in RCA at site to help decrease non-conformance trends.
7. Monitor laboratory data for trends and act pre-emptively to prevent non-conformities.
8. Carry out final release documentation checks and sign Certificates of Conformance.
9. Liaise with Customers and Suppliers as required to resolve issues.
10. Become familiar with AS9100 and NADCAP process requirements.
11. Liaise with internal departments to troubleshoot on a daily basis and work towards eliminating sources of non-conformance.
12. Perform internal audits as required to support the site’s quality management system.
13. Assist with maintaining and monitoring the site’s quality management system processes and approvals such as calibration, document control and training.
14. Ensure a high level of communication to employees, managers and colleagues.
15. Maintain good housekeeping of own work area and contribute to the general upkeep of the working environment.
16. Become familiar with the “check-work-check” process and be committed to a “right first time” approach to all tasks carried out.
17. Operate in a safe manner and undertake any training necessary to enable you to fulfil the requirements of your position.
18. Uphold your statutory duty of care for your own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
19. Enable the company to meet its own legal duties and report any hazardous situations or defective equipment.
Qualifications, experience and skills:
1. Familiar with Lab procedures and methods.
2. Familiar with Inspection techniques.
3. Ability to read and follow drawings/specifications.
4. High Level of attention to detail.
5. Good communication skills.
