About you:
Due to company success we are looking to appoint a Communications Executive to join our growing team. As the Communications Executive, you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Communications by creating, editing, and distributing high-quality content across multiple platforms. This includes drafting internal communications, newsletters, and other company materials. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all messaging aligns with the company’s tone of voice and objectives, while also contributing fresh ideas for engaging content.
In addition to content creation, you’ll assist with managing communication projects, working with both internal teams and external partners to ensure consistency and delivery. You’ll need to be detail-oriented, creative, and adaptable to thrive in this fast-paced environment.
Location: Slough but the option to hybrid work from home
Hours: 37.5 hours ( Monday - Friday)
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create, edit, and publish engaging content for internal communications, newsletters and internal platforms.
* Support the Head of Communications in developing communication strategies and campaigns.
* Ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand voice, values, and objectives.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., HSEQ, HR, Operations) to gather information and ensure cohesive messaging.
* Assist in managing communication projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
* Coordinate with external partners, agencies, and suppliers to maintain brand consistency and manage external communication efforts.
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communications, suggesting improvements for future content.
* Assist with event coordination and the promotion of company initiatives across various channels.
* Keep up to date with industry trends and apply best practices to improve the quality of communications.
* Support crisis communication efforts as needed, ensuring timely and appropriate messaging.
About you :
Required
* Proven experience in content creation and/or digital communications (in-house, agency or education).
* Full UK Driving license and the ability to travel to various sites.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (SharePoint, Teams, Forms etc.)
* Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and basic digital marketing tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Desirable
* Professional qualifications in communications, marketing, or public relations (e.g., CIM, CIPR).
* Experience using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).
* Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, or other web analytics tools.
* Experience working within a corporate communications team or similar environment.
* Familiarity with video production or editing tools.
* Knowledge of crisis communication practices
