The Role Responsibilities As a Senior Public Health Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the services and strategies of the Council and partner organisations, including the NHS, through the analysis and interpretation of public health data, providing valuable insights to inform evidence-based decision making. Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting complex data analysis and producing high-quality reports and presentations Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather and share relevant data Supporting the identification of public health needs and priorities through thorough research Contributing to the development and evaluation of public health interventions and programmes In addition to the above, you will also have the opportunity to work on exciting projects such as the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and Health Equity Assessments, ensuring that the needs of our diverse population are accurately assessed and addressed. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: Extensive experience in public health analysis, with a strong understanding of data sources and methodologies Excellent analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to a range of audiences Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team In addition to the above, a good sense of humour and a positive attitude are essential to thrive in our collaborative and friendly working environment.
