Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for flexible, highly motivated individuals to join the theatre team at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, working with and supporting the Nursing and Medical team. Previous theatre experience is not essential as there is a comprehensive training programme in place; however, previous experience in a care environment is essential. Successful candidates will be expected to work across the trust when required.
Main duties of the job
* Support qualified staff in the provision of care to patients in the operating theatre, incorporating clerical and cleaning duties.
* Assist the qualified theatre team members to ensure safe provision of services to the patients.

* Assist in the delivery of high-quality direct and indirect patient care.
* Provide assistance and support to patients, carers, and the multi-disciplinary team.
* Maintain high clinical standards.
* Help maintain a clean and safe ward environment.
Person specification
Qualifications
* ECDL or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge
* Caring experience
* Understanding of patients' basic needs
* Knowledge of endoscopy area (i.e., preparation, cleaning of scopes)
