Credit Controller Administrator (6 months Fixed Term Contract)

The Opportunity
Due to continuing success, we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth across all business sectors. Our Finance team is now looking for a Credit Control Administrator to be based at our Blackburn Head Office, on a 6-month fixed term contract.
The Credit Control Administrator will support various finance administration duties for pre-payment and credit billing services and play a key role in the successful collection of payments.
The Role
* Posting daily cash receipts
* Chasing customer debts and collaborating with the commercial department
* Resolving invoice discrepancies and queries with customers and internal departments
* Reconciling daily banking transactions
* Processing remittance advices on a daily basis
* Posting Direct Debits and standing order payments
* Raising Sales Ledger invoices
* Processing contract sales application certificates and invoices
* Ensuring correct processing of invoices in compliance with VAT reverse charge and CIS
* Assisting with reporting requirements
* Setting up new customer accounts
* Performing ad hoc administrative duties as needed
The Person
* Previous experience in a credit control role is crucial
* Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including excellent knowledge of Excel and Word
* Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
* Flexible approach to working hours and practices to accommodate the needs of the role
* Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills, including tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Clear and concise communication skills across various platforms, with excellent oral and written communication
* Team player with the ability to build and maintain relationships to achieve team goals
* Must pass a CRB check (financial credit check)
* High level of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity
* A finance qualification such as AAT is desirable but not essential
