An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lifestyle Practitioner to join our Children and Family Weight Management Team.
The Lifestyle Practitioners are working with individual schools to deliver a Whole School Approach to developing healthy active lifestyles both in summer and term-time programmes of activity.
Candidates must be a car driver and have access to their own vehicle to meet service needs as required.
Main duties of the job
The Lifestyle Practitioners will work as part of a team, contributing to the provision of high-quality services for children/young people and their families/carers within the Healthy Child Pathway. The Growing Well Growing Healthy (GWGH) team works in partnership with Stockton on Tees Borough Council and other partners, focusing on supporting children, young people, and their families to achieve a healthy weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle both at home, in school, and in leisure environments.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of education to NVQ level 3 and additional training to diploma level equivalent or equivalent through short course experience (Solihull and HENRY training).
Experience
* Experience of working with and supporting parents, children, and families.
* Experience in understanding health improvement or equivalent.
* Working with a range of statutory and voluntary organisations.
Knowledge and Skills
* An understanding of the factors affecting health and wellbeing.
* Computer literate including word processing.
* Knowledge of child development.

Salary: £26,530 to £29,114 per annum pro rata.
