Northern Europe Marketing Lead
Location: Amsterdam or London (office 3 days a week)
Introduction:
My client is an international payments business that helps money move around the world. Their platform is not only simplistic and easy, but offers a number of solutions. Their purpose is around making business easy, wherever it may be.
With a focus on the SME market, as well as online vendors, their GTM strategy has been superb – now they’re looking to step this up even more, with more marketing heads focusing on the key markets of the Netherlands and Germany.
The Role:
We need an experienced regional marketer, with a strong track record in marketing who comes from a regional marketing with a solid B2B background. Your focus will be on acquiring small to medium businesses located in Netherlands and Germany.
Responsibilities:
· Set up the marketing strategy and tactics based on the target market and regional commercial strategy.
· Set clear goals and ensure each step will be delivered on time from the marketing perspective.
· Strategize and coordinate regional marketing initiatives across target European markets, with a specific focus on field marketing activities.
· Work in conjunction with the Global Marketing team to lead the localisation of the regional marketing strategy, ensuring content localisationis aligned with regional nuances and customer considerations.
· Ensure data and insights underpin the Marketing strategy, execution and growth plans.
· Drive and grow customer acquisition, through online and offline channels leveraging both global
marketing, in-house as well as third-party/agency resources.
· Set measurable KPIs for all activities and initiatives being undertaken and demonstrate MKT ROI through attribution modelling.
· Work closely with all other functions and be a team player, ensuring consistent marketing message/proposition is established both internally and externally.
Requirements:
· Senior, regional and strategic level marketing experience.
· Fluent in English and ideally German; additional European languages are advantageous (particularly Dutch).
· Previously marketed a product within online vendor eco-system to acquire Amazon sellers, will be distinctly advantageous.
· Able to work across multiple geographic time-zones in a matrix organisation
· Have understanding and respect for different working cultures
· Ability to manage, optimize, and effectively deploy a marketing budget with proven
track record of leading and influencing teams both locally and remotely
· Ability to navigate and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, adopt an entrepreneurial mentality, not afraid to test out new ideas and roll up your sleeves to get stuff done
· Ability to challenge the status quo and think outside the box.
