Air Traffic Engineer

Salary:
£47,683 – £52,426 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
1. Performing daily inspection to ensure that all systems are serviceable
2. Informing ATC of any unserviceability’s found during the daily inspection
3. Carrying out fault rectification as and when required
4. Completing scheduled servicing
5. Undertaking project work as required
6. Ensuring that all relevant documentation is completed
7. Maintaining up-to-date competency
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
1. Engineering qualifications to HNC level or equivalent
2. Experience using some or all of the following equipment:
* Instrument Landing System
* Distance Measuring Equipment
* Primary and Secondary Surveillance Radar
* Non-Directional Beacon
* Direction Finder
* Radio Transmitters and Receivers
* Voice Communication Control System
1. Experience in fault investigation and rectification and familiarity with telecommunications test equipment
Desirable:
1. A good understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as expertise in network and data communications

The Air Traffic Engineering Team:
Join our dynamic team as an Air Traffic Engineer at Warton Aerodrome, where you’ll be at the forefront of supporting the Air Navigation Service Provision infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Air Traffic Engineer, you’ll be part of a dedicated team of five engineers, ensuring the seamless operation and safety of both military and civil flying activities. Your role will encompass the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and ensuring compliance with internal, statutory, and regulatory standards.
