We are currently working with a UTC in Chatham who are looking for a Head of Engineering to join them asap on a permanent basis.
This post is suitable for either a teacher with experience in Engineering who wants to make a move into subject leadership, or an experienced Head of Department looking for a new challenge.
This is a full time, permanent role, paid based on STPC Main or Upper Pay Range, dependent on experience, as well as a TLR2a (£8,279).
The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £5k. This is split into the following payments - £2.5k subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £2.5k to be paid 6 months to follow as a retention incentive.
Essential
• Degree or equivalent
• Further Degree
• Evidence of ongoing Professional Development Experience
• Outstanding teaching experience
• Experience of implementing strategies to raise student attainment with evidence of success.
• A track record of success in student behaviour management
• Experience of promoting highly effective communications within and between teams and other stakeholders in the community
• Experience of working within an academy
