Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and finance? Our Peterborough based client are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join their growing business on a part-time basis.
You will be responsible for supporting the leadership team in managing the company finances. You will have good eye for detail and the ability to reconcile complex company accounts.
Responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and processing incoming and outgoing invoices and managing payment schedules
2. Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks
3. Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
4. Keeping customer records up to date
5. Assisting with the completion of VAT returns
6. Supporting the completion of import and export paperwork
7. Management of business expenses
8. Creating weekly payment schedules to allow the company to pay all invoices on time.
9. Responding to customer and supplier enquiries
10. Preparing client statements
11. Preparing reports for the directors and company accountants
12. Assisting with the preparation of reports relating to EU transactions
You will have: –
13. 2-3 years minimum finance assistant experience
14. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
15. Excellent communication and organisational skills
16. Integrity and discretion in handling of confidential financial information
17. Tenacity and professionalism
18. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
