Job Description
New Directions are seeking compassionate teaching assistants to work in our schools in and around Dyserth, Denbighshire. We have multiple positions available ranging from day-to-day work and long-term roles.
As a teaching assistant, you will play an important role in supporting students within primary and secondary school settings. Your responsibilities will include providing support to students either in a group or 1:1 setting. You will also assist with classroom activities. It is also important that you are providing a positive learning environment for students to thrive.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting children with additional learning needs to help them achieve their full potential.
2. Helping to prepare classrooms for lessons. Making sure that learning materials and resources are available for effective teaching and learning.
3. Providing an environment where students feel motivated to learn and succeed.
Requirements
4. A minimum of 3 months experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
5. Enthusiasm for the role and dedication to working with children
6. A DBS that is enhanced and on the update service, or willingness to run a DBS
7. Registration with the education workforce council
8. Eligibility to work in the UK
