Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Lead practice nurse to join our friendly and supportive GP practice. We are a closely knit team that takes pride in patient care. We are a training practice and we actively support our staff to develop them. Lead Practice nurse is vital in delivering high quality care to our patients. We are a large practice of approximately 11,500 patients. Main duties of the job The Lead Practice Nurse will be responsible for the management and clinical supervision of the practice nursing team, consisting of Nurses and HCA. The Lead Practice Nurse will be responsible for managing and delivering several clinical areas such as infection prevention and control, health promotion, will strive to improve standards of care and be involved in identifying practice population needs. Lead nurse will be vital in Chronic Disease management. Knowledge of the GMS Contract, e.g. the Quality and Outcomes Framework, is a vital element of the post.
