Reporting to the Head Chef, you will support the chefs to prepare meals, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and assist with deliveries.
It’s a calm and pleasurable working environment, where you’ll be able to manage your workload and enjoy creating delicious meals. There’s a great social aspect to this role where you can interact with people outside the kitchen regularly.
As a Bank Catering Assistant you will be:
1. Assisting catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
2. Serving service users, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
3. Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
4. Ensuring that all areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
5. As part of the catering team, ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s policies and procedures.
6. Liaising with the wider team, including dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
7. Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable)
8. Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP
9. Experience of working within similar role.
10. Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Where you will be working:
You will be working at Ty Grosvenor, a Rehabilitation and Acute service for men with a Mental Illness and/or Personality Disorder
You will work alongside the multidisciplinary service to promote the ethos of the service, Work, Rest and Play and focuses on equipping Service Users with the appropriate skills for community living
