Job Title: Art Technician Location: Kingston, South West London Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) - Term-Time Only Contract: Part-time/Full-time (to be discussed at interview) We are seeking a creative, organised, and enthusiastic Art Technician to join our dynamic Art Department at a thriving Secondary School in Kingston. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about the arts and education to play a key role in supporting both staff and students in a vibrant learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and organise materials, tools, and resources for art lessons across KS3-KS5 Maintain and manage stock, order supplies, and ensure all equipment is in good working condition Assist in setting up displays of students' work around the school and for exhibitions Provide technical support during practical lessons, including ceramics, painting, sculpture, and mixed media Ensure the Art rooms and prep areas are clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations Support students with their practical work when required, under the guidance of the Art teaching team What We're Looking For: A strong interest in the arts and/or a background in Art & Design (degree or equivalent desirable) Practical knowledge of art materials, tools, and techniques (including ceramics and printmaking preferred) Good organisational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial but not essential We Offer: A creative and supportive working environment Opportunities for professional development and training A school community that values the arts and celebrates student creativity If you're passionate about art and want to help inspire the next generation of young creatives, we'd love to hear from you.
