H loves cars and having a go at fixing them, he also enjoys football, cooking, shopping and arts and crafts. He would really like to be able to access the gym.
H can display some challenging behaviours he can be impulsive and volatile but is receiving support to manage this.
89 hours to be used in holidays & weekends paid at £12.50 per hour.
Enhanced DBS clearance is essential
Supporting H with opportunities to access structed activities and spending time the local community. This could be kicking a ball in the park, going to the cinema or a car show & accompanying H to the gym.
H would benefit from improving life skills such as money management, ordering and buying his own drink at a café, buying things in shops himself and checking his change.
Improving communication skills in social situations, what is positive behaviour and not so positive behaviour.
Someone who has experience of supporting others with learning disabilities with a clear understanding of the challenges learning disability bring..
Someone who is able to communicate clear boundaries in a way H can understand and stick to them.
Someone who is willing to be interactive and get involved with all activities.
You will be kind and encouraging in order to improve and develop skills & independence.
Structure is important for H so you will need to be a good timekeeper.
