This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.
The role
As an Off-Site Material Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance.
Day-to-day, you'll carry out material / asset management activities, this includes ensuring lifetime quality records and relevant documentation are recorded and maintained, complete forms on maintenance and disposal of plant, material and equipment, data input allowing for recognition of improvements and performance monitoring and also advise on improvements to processes.
Coordination and communication of materials between material package managers, warehouse teams and construction teams
Attend coordination meetings that cover and include procurement/ expediting and warehouse inventory for all MEH Material
Accumulate data from a 16 week lookahead to support scheduling of deliveries and installation material per the specified material category and / or construction area
Aid the and provide data input to provide detailed visual aids and tables to support forecasted material data
Create material requests within the asset tracking system
Assist with cataloguing and data input the asset tracking system
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, and is based off-site at Hinkley Logistics Hub in Bridgwater.
Essential experience of the Off-Site Material Coordinator
Strong administrative, quality and asset management skills are necessary to coordinate material management and strengthen the end-to-end material process flow
Practical experience in warehouse, equipment and asset management is highly valued. Previous experience in warehouse operations and supply chain/material management at large scale is essential
Industry-specific certifications can enhance your credibility and demonstrate your expertise, e.g. the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) offers certifications such as the Certificate in Asset Management or Diploma in Asset Management
Demonstrable experience within warehousing operations, material, and equipment management role within a regulated industry
Qualifications for the Off-Site Material Coordinator
Relevant qualifications, a minimum NVQ Level '3' or equivalent
