Job Title: Wastewater Planning & Environment Manager
Location: Hybrid working between our office in either Durrington (Worthing) or Falmer and working from home.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Salary: Competitive salary commensurate to experience + £400 monthly car allowance and bonus up to 10%.
Job Overview
Southern Water are excited to be advertising for a Wastewater Planning & Environment Manager to join our reputable Operational Planning & Improvement team.
Our Wastewater Planning & Environment Manager motivates and manages a team of WW Environment Leads, responsible for liaising with the Environment Agency, ensuring full and timely communication of pollution incident updates, Directors Reviews, pollution action plans, pollution database assurance and improvement, EA CAR audit response tracking & updates on progress with long term repeat issues.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
1. Provision of full & complete pollution incident updates to the EA within the regulatory 10 day working window.
2. Assurance of pollution database & feedback / improvement / training for PCLs
3. Create action plans for WW assets with repeating environmental impact to reduce risk of repeat pollutions.
4. Track and provide timely updates to the EA on progress with long term repeat pollution / compliance action plans
5. Review insights from solutions team to inform the need for action plans
6. Manage the WW Environment Team providing direction, maximising performance and facilitating a developmental environment.
About You

The ideal candidate will be resilient in nature, and a great motivator of teams. Experience within the water industry would be advantageous, and if you have experience of implementing and embedding pollution management systems then we would love to hear from you!
Package
This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our office in Falmer or Durrington (Worthing) and working from home.
