Our client is a leader in large-scale infrastructure development, specialising in electric vehicle (EV) charging and renewable energy projects. They collaborate closely with DNOs/IDNOs, ICPs, and key industry stakeholders to deliver complex infrastructure projects across the UK.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects. You will work closely with build partners, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to regulatory standards. Your expertise in DNO/IDNO networks, metering, and highways construction will be critical in driving project feasibility and execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop strong relationships with build partners and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Work closely with local authorities and key stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.
* Assist internal teams by offering technical guidance on grid connections and industry best practices for EV infrastructure.
* Assess project feasibility, ensuring adherence to relevant technical and regulatory standards.
* Deliver accurate project data and progress reports to the PMO Team within set timeframes.
* Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable street works and highways regulations, maintaining industry best practices.
* Lead project risk assessments, identifying and mitigating potential construction challenges.
* Drive efficiency, quality, and safety across all infrastructure projects.
What We’re Looking For
* 10+ years experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Previous experience working in a Charge Point Operator (CPO) is essential.
* Deep understanding of DNOs/IDNOs, ICPs, metering, and supply chains.
* Expertise in public highways construction regulations.
* Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent knowledge of grid connection feasibility and electrical infrastructure.
