A bit about the role As a Children's Services Worker you'll work within a team of four diligent play workers in the specialised areas, providing care to children within one on one or small group sessions at a ratio of 2:3 at any one time. We concentrate mainly on Cognitive play, Sensory play, Communication & Social Play; supporting parents and families and whilst working as part of a multi-agency team. Our sessions run from 9.30 -11.30 in the mornings and 12:45 - 14.45 in the afternoons. We work through the medium of English and basic Welsh, Makaton and Picture referencing. About the service Stepping Stones is a vibrant Children's Centre that provides play and development services for pre-school children with emerging additional needs or diagnosed disability. We aim to improve children's outcomes in a fun and individualised way in the different areas of development, before we celebrate each child going on to a school setting when they are 3 years old.
