My client is seeking an experienced Trainer to join their amazing team! The main purpose of the role is to develop, deliver and evaluate a comprehensive range of Learning / Training opportunities for the workforce.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Learning and Development Manager to assess organisational requirements for training and the L&D needs of individual staff.
2. Develop and deliver training, educational and support programme(s) for the staff employed.
3. Deliver and evaluate a rolling programme of training in line with the organisational-wide learning and development plan.
4. Ensure that staff training reflects the needs of the Policies and Procedures, and relevant legislation and applicable Regulatory requirements.
5. Work within a quality assurance framework and keep records in line with the policies and procedure. Assist the Learning & Development Manager to develop systems to monitor the quality of the programme/training and ensure that staff competency is assessed as part of the training process.
6. Ensure that attendance at L&D events is reported to the L&D administrator to ensure that certificates are issued in a timely manner.
7. Monitor the quality of existing internal and external training programmes and feed back to the Learning and Development Manager.
8. Keep abreast of support worker and other staff issues at all levels, local and national, and reflect these issues in the L&D programme, reporting these issues and concerns to the Learning and Development Manager.
9. Deputise for other DT Internal Trainer(s) if required.
10. Maintain relevant training qualifications and personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job.
11. Participate in appropriate L&D activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
12. Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, quality assurance and general duty of care.
13. Extensive national travel will be required for this role, and a driving licence is necessary.
14. Overnight stays will be required for this role.
