Would you like to work in a developing and progressive service that has a specific commitment to the provision of high-quality safe care for women? If so, then the Women's Health Ward could be your next opportunity.
We have an amazing opportunity available due to an increase in funding investment for an established and experienced registered nurse who is looking for the next career move. You will be an enthusiastic, hard-working, and committed individual to join our Women's Health Team. The Gynaecology ward team provides care to women and their families across our inpatient ward and our gynaecology assessment unit.
The Gynaecology Ward accommodates a diverse mixture of surgical and emergency patients within the 7-bedded area, and the two spaces in the Gynaecology assessment area. This post offers a unique nursing experience for the right candidate, who must be passionate about Women's Health and Gynaecology Nursing.
Main duties of the job
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be passionate, and strive to make a difference. You will be responsible for the provision of high-quality care that is safe, efficient, effective, kind, and meets the individual needs of women and their partners using our services. Together with the Gynaecology team, you will be leading the service to uphold the Trust Values. You will be a team player who will support the team to develop the services offered.
Whilst on the ward, you will work as the shift leader, coordinating the ward activity and supporting our team to deliver outstanding patient care.
About us
Wye Valley NHS Trust is a member of an NHS Foundation Group with South Warwickshire NHS FT, the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Located on the border with Wales in the shadow of the Black Mountains, we provide acute and community services across Herefordshire and into parts of Powys and run Hereford County Hospital and the community hospitals in Bromyard, Leominster, and Ross-on-Wye.
We are a progressive and forward-looking trust with ambitious plans to improve quality and integrate patient pathways through close collaborative working with our partners to deliver the quality of care we'd want for our family and friends.
More than 3,500 people work for the Trust - they tell us it's a great place to work, blending the busyness of a DGH with the benefits of working in a beautiful rural and unspoilt county like Herefordshire.
We can offer a great work-life balance and have a fine tradition of working with staff to help them achieve their full potential.
Russell Hardy, Trust Chairman: "The strength of the Trust is its amazing staff; a great place to work, a great place to develop your career, and a great place to reach your potential."
Our values - Care, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence - are at the heart of all we do. We believe in providing the right care in the right place at the right time...all the time.
