B7 Physician Associate – Ward 105, General Medicine
Location: NHS Grampian – Ward 105, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary
Hours: 37 hours per week (Full Time)
Contract: Permanent
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Physician Associate looking to develop your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team on Ward 105, a busy General Medicine ward within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
This post offers the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care to a varied and complex patient population. You will play a vital role in supporting the daily medical care of patients, working closely with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, AHPs, and other professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes. The post is primarily Mon-Fri but with an expectation that the candidate will be flexible and may be required to work weekends at times.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting daily ward rounds and clinical reviews
2. Performing clinical assessments, developing management plans, and initiating investigations
3. Supporting safe patient flow, including admission and discharge planning
4. Participating in clinical audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives
We are seeking applicants who:
1. Hold a recognised UK Physician Associate qualification
2. Are registered on the PAMVR (Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register)
3. Demonstrate strong clinical and communication skills
4. Have a proactive, team-based approach to patient care
Newly qualified Physician Associates are welcome to apply and will be supported with a structured induction and supervision plan.
