Residential Care Officer

Umbrella Pay- £17.42 per hour
08/07/2024 – 2 months initially
Rota basis including earlies (7.30– 14.30), lates (14.30 – 22.00) and waking nights (21.30 – 07.30) – Office based
Our client are seeking a Residential Care Officer to join a team based in a disability home for children aged 11 – 18 years.
Each young person has their own daily living plan in line with their care plan; it will be your role to ensure that this is implemented to meet their needs
Ensure that young people are included and actively involved in developing their plans
Contribute to care plans based on information obtained from young people and observations of their behaviour
Implement behaviour management strategies and establishing routines and boundaries
Build warm and meaningful relationships with young people to enable them to progress
Provide assistance and support in daily living, for example, personal care, food preparation and cooking meals, shopping, ensuring young people are healthy
Provide advice, guidance, practical and emotion support where necessary
Keep and maintain accurate records of work
Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary Requirements
Experience of working with children and young people - preferably within a residential setting, but this could be demonstrated through other experiences e.g. education setting, youth work etc.
Level 1 or an awareness in Safeguarding, Child Protection
Team Teach or some form of Positive Behaviour Management
GDPR or training around recording, confidentiality, Equality etc.
