Position Title: Binders Technician (Maternity Cover)
Reports to: Central Operations Manager

Summary of Position:
The Binders Technician is responsible for providing an efficient and effective Technical Processing service to the business whilst adhering to Regulatory, Risk and Compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
* Maintain up to date & accurate documentation, files, excel spread-sheets relating to the particular facility.
* Deal with incoming enquiries from Clients, Underwriters and third parties.
* Handle any or all queries from Xchanging when signing such Premium Bordereaux.
* Ensure all KPI’s are met.
* Adhere to company and regulatory policies, procedures together with mandatory training requirements.
* Assess incoming processing requests for completeness and take the appropriate actions.
* Produce accurate and complete client and market documentation.
* Process Premium bordereaux and obtain agreement where required.
* Maintain the status of processing requests within the SLA tracking tool.
* File relevant documentation electronically as per the agreed structures and standards.
* Undertake a Second Pair of Eyes Check ensuring all processing errors are highlighted to the relevant Premium Technician.
* Liaise with clients, underwriters, business units and Insurance Business Accounts (IBA) to resolve queries.
* Assist with ad-hoc projects as and when required.
* Exhibit behaviours that are consistent with the shared values of the BMS Group.
* Proactively promote the benefits of BMS Group both internally and externally.
Experience Required:
* Knowledge of Sequel Eclipse Broking is advantageous.
* Good working knowledge of MS Word and advanced working knowledge of Excel (e.g. Pivot tables and complex formulas).
* Knowledge of LORs is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience in drafting and finalising of all binding authority contracts through to submission into the bureau.
* Experience in handling all related queries in respect of the above.
* Experience in loading details into the Lloyd’s DCOM platform.
* Experience in the creation and updating written and premium Bordereaux, identifying, and resolving any issues on the bordereaux with the relevant stakeholders.
* Experience in navigating and loading items into the Lloyd’s Atlas platform.
* Good communication and organisation skills.
* Good technical and industry knowledge.
* Ability to multi-task and meet processing SLA’s / project deadlines.
* The ability to exercise challenge or escalate issues as appropriate.
* Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships within and across the Group.
