CMA is currently working with an organisation near Southampton who operate within the educational sector and are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial control of the accounting function including their trading subsidiary. This is a really exciting opportunity as the organisation goes through an exciting transitional phase. What will the Finance Manager role involve? Effectively lead, develop and manage the department staff. To be responsible for all financial and management accounting across both the charity and trading subsidiary. Assist the appointed auditors with the annual audit and preparation of the statutory accounts. Responsibility for the reconciliation of all bank accounts, and upkeep of the Fixed Asset Register. Process the monthly payroll and associated statutory reporting. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and support budget holders with the financials. Management of the payables and receivables function. Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager: Qualified by experience, AAT qualified or ACCA or CIMA studier. Experience within an SME organisation managing the finance function in its entirety from the day to day transactions through to the production of the management and financial accounts.
