Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering
Location: Lancashire - Up to £65,000 salary
Job Description
The Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor will work on civil engineering projects, primarily in the North West region, including bridge construction, transport infrastructure, highways infrastructure, reinforced concrete structures, education infrastructure, and remediation.
The Client
My client is a medium-sized civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in the North Lancashire area. This is a split office and site-based role. The successful candidate will have NEC ECC experience and a strong background in administering contracts up the chain on the main contract and down the chain on subcontracts, with detailed knowledge of NEC contracts.
Duties
1. Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
2. Undertaking cost analysis
3. Contract administration
4. Providing advice on contractual claims
5. Assisting in establishing client requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
6. Performing risk and value management and cost control
7. Advising on procurement strategy
8. Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
9. Allocating work to subcontractors
Candidate Essentials
1. Main contractor experience
2. Commercial management of contracts valued at £5m+
3. Experience with bridges, FRC, earthworks, highway construction, and general civils
Salary
£45,000 - £65,000 (depending on level and experience). Note: they are open to seeing assistant-level candidates who have managed their own projects and want to make a step up.
