Qualifications: Good understanding of operations and engineering practices and procedures within a JIT manufacturing environment. Good written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. Previous manufacturing/engineering experience is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Will assist with new model activity and requires interaction with the customer and the R&D team.
2. Accountable for the design of facility, ordering all equipment, and overseeing the installation and completion of projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.
3. Review current facility equipment needs and make recommendations to management concerning upgrades/capital improvements.
4. Assist with managing machinery and equipment installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs and upgrades, to ensure company operating and cost efficiencies, quality standards, and customer delivery deadlines are achieved.
5. Ensures that all plant upgrades and installation of equipment are completed according to schedule.
6. Support production efforts from a technical objective.
7. Develop appropriate contingency plans to address future issues.
8. Conduct time studies on existing systems and procedures and provide feedback to management.
9. Troubleshoot existing operations to achieve stated management objectives.
10. Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
11. Ensure safe operations.
12. Have the ability to establish and execute a monthly plan.
13. Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
14. Must execute action items per the annual business plan to help achieve section key metrics (downtime reduction, cost reduction).
15. All other duties as assigned.
16. Requires the ability to use and apply knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes.
