What does success at Henry & Co look like?
We are seeking a proactive and reliable dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our growing team. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, picking and packing customer orders, dispatching products, and maintaining an organised and safe working environment.
About You:
With previous experience in a busy warehouse or logistics environment you will have a keen eye for detail and ideally you will be familiar with inventory management systems. Thriving in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, you will be capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment. You will have excellent communication skills, with the demonstrable ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Inventory Management:
* Accurately maintain inventory records using our warehouse management system (unleased).
* Perform regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits to ensure stock levels are accurate.
* Report and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
Order Picking & Packing:
* Efficiently pick and pack items according to customer orders, ensuring accuracy and quality.
* Carefully pack products to minimise damage during transportation.
* Label packages correctly and prepare them for dispatch.
Dispatch & Logistics:
* Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
* Coordinate with couriers and carriers to schedule timely pickups and deliveries.
* Monitor order dispatch to ensure timely and correct deliveries, following up on any delays.
General Warehouse Operations:
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
* Assist with loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve warehouse processes and operational efficiency.
