The East of England Cancer Alliance is seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Office Co-ordinator to support the Director of the Cancer Alliance and the PMO & Business Office Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of business processes, stakeholder engagement, and administrative functions that drive improvements in cancer services across the region. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, handling communications, and supporting project delivery. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Business Support Provide high-level administrative support to the Director of the Cancer Alliance and PMO & Business Office Manager. Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including ICBs, Network Clinical Groups, charities, and NHS partners. Ensure business processes, systems, and procedures are efficient and well-coordinated. Support the development and implementation of corporate projects, ensuring key tasks are completed on time. Meeting & Diary Management Coordinate and manage diaries, scheduling meetings and prioritising appointments. Prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action points, ensuring timely follow-ups. Organise Board-level and senior management meetings, including logistics, invitations, and materials. Project & Data Management Support teams to ensure that tasks and projects are effectively planned, monitored, and delivered. Provide data analysis and reporting, ensuring accurate information is available for decision-making. Collate reports for senior leaders, ensuring key insights are captured. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Manage communication between the Cancer Alliance and ICBs, NHS England, and charity partners. Draft and edit correspondence, ensuring clarity and professionalism. Support stakeholder engagement by maintaining strong relationships with external partners. Event & Training Support Organise and plan events, workshops, and training sessions as required. Manage event logistics, including venue booking, materials preparation, and attendance tracking. Process Improvement & Compliance Develop and maintain effective filing systems (electronic and paper-based) to ensure accessibility and security. Ensure compliance with data protection (GDPR), confidentiality policies, and NHS governance requirements. Act as a champion for reducing health inequalities in cancer, ensuring equitable access to services. Skills & Experience Required Essential: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Strong administrative and business support experience, preferably in a healthcare or public sector setting. Experience in minuting board meetings, coordinating projects and stakeholder engagement. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of working with senior leaders. Ability to work independently and handle confidential information professionally. Desirable: Experience in healthcare, cancer services, or NHS administration. Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Familiarity with NHS governance and business processes.
