Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Located: Fakenham, Norfolk
Shift pattern: 06:00-14:30 Monday to Friday for 1 week followed by 14:30-23:00 Monday to Friday for 2 weeks. Every 3rd week (when they are on the earlier shift) 06:00 to 12:00 Saturday.
Reports to: Engineering Manager/ Senior Engineer
Direct Reports: None
Business Function: All Business Production Lines/Plants
Grade:
Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum
Role Responsibilities
1. Ensure all PPM activities are completed on time, providing feedback to the Senior Engineer to improve the PPM system and activities.
2. Work closely with the Engineer on the opposite shift for daily handover of ongoing activities and sharing relevant information.
3. Provide knowledge and input into the continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.
4. Identify long-running problems and suitable solutions with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager.
5. Improve equipment performance, reliability, and running costs for replacement parts and consumables.
6. Undertake repairs to equipment safely and timely, ensuring Production is updated on progress.
7. Perform remedial engineering works as instructed by the Engineering Manager.
8. Communicate risks of safety or equipment failure to the Manager.
9. Ensure contractors work safely on site and adhere to Health and Safety rules and procedures.
10. Adhere to Site Health and Safety instructions and relevant engineering standards.
11. Report incidents, accidents, and near misses in accordance with Health and Safety Policies.
12. Maintain equipment for health and safety protection in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
13. Ensure safe systems of work and best practice procedures are followed.
14. Maintain good housekeeping standards.
15. Uphold the company's disciplines, rules, and standards.
16. Maintain company assets for maximum efficiency.
17. Ensure excellent communication between Production staff and co-workers.

2. Electrical Installation 18th Edition.
3. Electrical Installation Maintenance.
4. Mechanical Fabrication/Maintenance.
5. Electronic fault finding to component level.
6. Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff and work as part of a team.
7. Recognised qualification relevant to this maintenance Engineering role.
8. Skilled in both Electrical and Mechanical trades; Apprenticeship with indentures preferred.
9. Preferred knowledge of other engineering disciplines including pneumatics, hydraulics, and steam systems.
