We are looking for an Accounts Manager to join an established privately owned business based in Sunderland. You will join a supportive team working closely with Commercial and Operations Teams as well as supporting the MD in day to day duties. Providing overall support to the Management team, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and growing business offering a secure long term future. Roles and Responsibilities: • Previous account management experience. • Previous experience with Sage and be able to prepare: Accurate monthly management accounts and Year-end information for auditors to prepare accounts. • Check emails and respond to queries. • Raise and send sales invoices to clients. • Print electronic supplier invoices and statements. • Stamp and code jobs - all supplier invoices. • Enter all invoices to Sage. • Check supplier statements match with amounts per Sage. • Enter credit card statements and reconcile. • Enter staff expense claims, correctly claim VAT if applicable and reimburse staff. • Project reports for Managers as required. • Preparing monthly management accounts. • Reconcile bank accounts regularly. • Supplier payments. • Update cash flow and cashbook regularly. • Cash flow, Debtors and Creditors reports, P&L etc - monthly. • Weekly finance meeting. • Prepare and submit VAT Returns quarterly to HMRC. • Year-end adjustments and communication with Accountants. • Assist in the management of the companies purchasing.
