Role Overview:
The Area Sales Engineer will be a key member of the filtration sales team. The role is focused on selling filtration products to a broad range of manufacturing industries, including Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemical, Food and Beverage, and General Engineering sectors. This position involves developing existing customer accounts and securing new business opportunities across the Midlands region.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain relationships with existing customer accounts.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
3. Arrange client appointments and execute a structured sales plan.
4. Provide detailed customer quotations and manage the sales process end-to-end.
5. Liaise effectively with suppliers and manufacturers to address customer needs.
6. Conduct comprehensive site surveys to identify sales opportunities.
7. Stay informed about product innovations and provide updated information to clients.
8. Attend and actively participate in sales review meetings.
9. Maintain accurate and regular reports on sales activity and business development.
Candidate Profile:
1. Minimum of 2-3 years Sales Experience.
2. Talent for effectively interacting with individuals at all levels of an organisation, both verbally and written.
3. Self-motivated to work independently, with team support, to close business deals.
4. Has achieved literacy and numeracy standards, and able to write legibly and write reports.
5. Effectively work with SAP, Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, internet and email.
6. Demonstrated commitment to completing tasks and objectives.
7. Has a full clean or near clean driving licence.
8. Always portrays a professional image and understands the importance of delivering a first-class customer service experience.
9. Reliable and dependable with exceptional organisational skills.
10. A positive attitude with drive and good work ethic.
11. Fluent English is essential.
12. Willingness to undertake training to develop skills and relevant knowledge.
13. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
14. Capable of working to company quality standards, processes and procedures.
