We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Cannock as a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant.
About the Role:
This full-time position involves providing general support across Key Stage 1 (KS1) classes, ensuring all students receive the assistance they need to succeed. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, while also contributing to the smooth running of daily classroom activities. The role starts from January 2025 on a long term basis until July 2025.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a primary school setting
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons.
* Provide targeted support to individual students and small groups to enhance their learning.
* Support the classroom environment, promoting positive behavior and engagement.
* Help implement strategies to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere to build students' confidence and independence.

About You:
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant who has:
* Experience working with young children in a classroom setting (preferably KS1).
* A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s education.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).
* A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
