We are searching for Band 4 Nursing Associates to come and join our nursing team at HMP Fosse Way - could this be you?
The post requires an individual with good communication skills who has the ability to work within a team under the guidance of the Primary Care team within HMP Fosse Way.
You must be a registered Nursing Associate, registered with the NMC.
Main duties of the job
Nursing Associates required to complement the current nursing establishment, enhance the skill mix, and become an integral member of the service. We are looking for Nursing Associates to join our dedicated Nursing teams who are committed and passionate about promoting health, well-being, and independence.
Applicants must be flexible, hardworking, and compassionate with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have access to training and development, annual appraisals, and clinical supervision.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Job responsibilities
You should possess good interpersonal and time management skills, be a good communicator, organised, and able to prioritise and work well as a member of a team. You will be providing general nursing care which includes catheter management, injections, wound care, and palliative nursing care in patients' homes and residential care homes. You must be able to demonstrate a professional manner at all times to patients, relatives, and staff of all levels.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Qualifications
* Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
* Educated to a Foundation degree level specific to Nursing Associate practice or equivalent
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Placement or experience within the 4 fields of nursing
Experience
* Understand the scope of the role of Nursing Associate in the context of the Virtual Ward Team and the organisation, and how the role contributes to service development
* Understand revalidation
* Effective communicator with patients, carers, and all members of the multidisciplinary team
* Experience of training and educating staff
* Evidence of additional responsibilities/interests e.g link/champion roles
Skills
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Able to recognise own limitations in the context of the Nursing Associate role
* Ability to participate in reflective practice
