Infrastructure Engineer (Systems Focus)
Location: Coventry, UK (Hybrid working)
Salary: £50,000–£60,000
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week – Flexible start and finish times
About the Role
Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in systems and virtualisation? You'll be responsible for managing VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft Enterprise Server environments, both on-premise and cloud-based. Key projects include Microsoft Intune implementation, Citrix platform upgrades, SharePoint migration, and enhancing disaster recovery using Azure.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with cross-functional teams to assess business needs and deliver scalable, future-proof infrastructure solutions.
* Design, implement, and maintain VMware environments for optimal performance and reliability.
* Configure and manage Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and Microsoft RDS environments for efficient application delivery.
* Support Azure-based disaster recovery strategies and contribute to firewall security enhancements.
* Assist in Microsoft 365 projects, including SharePoint migrations and Microsoft Intune rollouts.
Requirements
* Proven experience in systems engineering with expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Citrix technologies.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server environments and Microsoft 365 administration.
* Hands-on experience with Azure disaster recovery and Microsoft Intune (preferred).
* Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
