We are looking for a talented Project Manager who will oversee and co-ordinate all aspects of Community Housing’s project portfolio. This is a great opportunity to oversee a range of important projects, ensuring goals are delivered on time and to budget.
Bringing specialist insight, knowledge and expertise to tasks, you will ensure projects are designed, resourced and executed in the spirit of collaboration and will challenge the business norms. A great team player, you will work with colleagues as well as key stakeholders across the business and provide regular milestone updates to project teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring projects are commissioned and delivered in line with Community Housing’s process for change and using agreed governance documentation.
2. Providing key project status updates in line with agreed reporting cycles.
3. Overseeing the end-to-end delivery cycle for projects from ideation and discovery phases, proof of concept through to resource & planning, execution and transfer of projects to an operational delivery.
4. Identifying and managing key project resources, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and the relevant skills needed to execute the change have been secured.
5. Working with project sponsors to articulate clear business cases with sound financial and business impact analysis, in line with our project framework.
6. Proactively identifying, assessing and managing project risks in line with Community Housing's project management framework, ensuring adequate escalation and ownership of risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
7. Managing project budgets in line with our delivery framework, ensuring project costs are under control and escalation processes for financial risks are followed.
Our ideal candidate will have:
1. Project management experience aligned to business change, business process re-engineering and business process modelling.
2. A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to project deadlines.
3. A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
4. Experience of working in complex stakeholder environments, including matrix management.
5. Experience of supporting, managing and embedding change effectively.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to professionally challenge, coordinate, collaborate and drive aspirational needs across Community Housing.

Community Housing was formed in 2000 through a stock transfer from Wyre Forest District Council. We are a social business and one of Worcestershire’s largest Registered Providers of social housing, managing around 6000 homes and offering a range of services that help people to live independently.
We are proud of what we have achieved so far for the people and communities we support. Over the coming years we are focused on helping people to thrive and live independently, knowing they have a secure place they can call home, that they can afford, and with a landlord who cares about them.
Our Corporate Plan will help us to push forward and achieve results for our customers and communities. But even more so, it is our people that will drive our success.
When we are looking to recruit, we don’t just look for the best skillset or experience, we are also looking for people who will support our vision and ‘The Community Way’ of doing things.
