RWDI is seeking a motivated individual to work as Junior Physical/Digital Modeler for an entry level full time 12-month fixed term contract role for maternity cover within our dynamic team within the Milton Keynes office. This role includes but is not limited to: The production of scaled models using a variety of drawing types. Assisting senior modellers to complete models with accuracy and quality. Working with a variety of materials using varying workshop machinery. The repair, maintenance & development of workshop/wind tunnel facilities and equipment. Assisting Wind Tunnel Operators in the preparation and testing of Projects. Working in a professional environment abiding by Health & Safety Policies. Liaising with Project Managers and Engineers to comprehensively understand the project requirements. Managing projects to best suit deadlines. Working to requirements and tolerances when producing scale models. Working efficiently towards both internal and external deadlines. Working as part of team in order to best achieve goals. Attending project meetings to discuss and agree scope of work. Candidates would ideally have: Relevant education and/or experience in Model Making or transferable skills such as joinery/carpentry, Production Design etc. Some experience with workshop machinery and power tools. (inc. bandsaws, table saws sanders etc.) Good eye for detail. IT skills ranging from basic to experienced with CAD software. Candidates should also possess Good communication and coordination skills. Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently. Strong professional work ethic Ability to work independently towards achieving goals. Proven experience of working to deadlines and program. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Salary starting from £23,500 commensurate with experience.
