Required Skills air safety aerospace defence nuclear air safety consultant Military Air System Certification Process Defence Standard 00-970 Job Summary Our Client, a leading consultancy in Aerospace, Defence, Security, and Technology, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Air Safety Consultant to join their team. You’ll play a key role in assessing compliance for complex air systems designs and providing leadership both internally and externally to meet program needs. Working closely with clients, you'll lead presentations and develop strategies to solve complex challenges. They are looking for experienced consultants with a solid understanding of the Defence sector to provide guidance on aviation certification and safety management solutions. Experience - Understanding and application of ASPIRE and AET Process 08. - Understanding and application of MAA Regulatory Publications (MRP). - Understanding and application of the Military Air System Certification Process (MACP), and in particular assessing AMCs, establishing MCRIs, TCBs and TCEs. - Understanding and application of Airworthiness codes such as Defence Standard 00-970, Certification Specifications (CS) or Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). - Understanding and application of military aviation hazard/accident management. - Build sustainable relationships with clients and develop future business opportunities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills commensurate with the role, including the preparation and presentation of reports to both internal and external clients. - Chartered/Incorporated Engineer or equivalent or working towards it. - Knowledge and awareness of their discipline and related disciplines and their developments across varied markets including Defence. - Experienced in development of Airworthiness Strategies / Certification Management Plans. - Experience of teaching their discipline to others and sharing experiences. - Development and generation of Safety Assessments. - Working Knowledge of Industry and other Defence Standards such as Def Stan 00-056. - Knowledge and experience of working in wider markets and the ability to sell their related discipline capability to internal and external clients and across varied markets. - Membership of UK, EU, or US societies/working groups, etc. Job Responsibilities Leadership of major certification management assignments for clients. Provision of safety, airworthiness, technical evaluation, and certification artefacts. Assurance of work undertaken by project teams. Support to Markets. Providing a vision of future needs to support the development of capability. You will be working with our clients to deliver aviation certification related projects,other certification related projects and will have the opportunity to inspire and be inspired by colleagues in offices across the UK and the globe.
