Job Description
We are seeking a talented Business Architect to provide comprehensive architecture support across our retail business, aligned with our integrated roadmap of business priorities and technology delivery. The successful candidate will ensure that architecture reviews, standards, and delivery plans are effectively produced, tracked, and managed. Additionally, the Business Architect will contribute to the evolution of methodologies, processes, tools, and techniques, maximising value in delivering effective architecture plans. This role is crucial in driving appropriate intake and delivery pipelines in alignment with our Technology Strategy architecture plans.
What you'll be doing:
1. Developing and documenting business models that illustrate the interaction of processes, systems, and organisation to deliver products and services to customers and intermediaries, along with the underlying business capabilities and requirements.
2. Assessing the impact of change and actively engaging in developing business and IT requirements and solutions, ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of the business models are maintained.
3. Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure the implications of change are understood, issues are identified, and solutions are agreed upon.
4. Maintaining the business model in an accessible and usable format, ensuring it is the definitive source of information about business operations and reflects changes driven by market forces, business and IT developments, or new legislation and regulation.
5. Embedding the principles of Conduct Risk into daily operations to ensure good customer outcomes.
6. Designing and performing all business processes and internal controls to deliver good customer outcomes and demonstrate effective management of Conduct Risk.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
1. Architecture, TOGAF, Analysis, Prince2, Project management and/or Agile qualifications.
2. Portfolio and architecture management and analysis experience with a track record of effective management & reporting.
3. Experience of facilitating and shaping opportunities to drive preparation of suitable business cases and Portfolio plans in line with structured business frameworks across complex geographical / functional matrix organizations.
4. Proven track record of architecting business opportunities to drive portfolio plans for delivery of large, complex, change and technology initiatives with technology appreciation and awareness.
5. Track record of building effective relationships to ensure approved agreed delivery plans and proven background in adapting to trends and openness to new ideas.
6. Ensuring analysis to support business prioritisation and planning confidence across all levels with technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Demonstrated ability to work independently focusing on priorities, and managing a high volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various internal and external businesses and support functions.
