Purpose of Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Handy Person to join our in-house maintenance team in Fareham.
Job Description
This position is dedicated to our Facilities Management contract with the Office for National Statistics covering offices and a warehouse storage facility. You would be responsible for undertaking reactive and PPM maintenance across carpentry, fabric, plumbing, and building maintenance. Tasks could include changing locks, fabric repairs, door/ceiling/carpet repairs, leak detection/repair, unblocking toilets/sinks, water temperature checks, replacement water boilers, flushing, servicing and/or replacement of thermostatic mixer valves, water sampling, and much more. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to deliver high-quality reactive repairs across multiple disciplines.

Essential Qualifications/Skills
1. Proven maintenance background in commercial environments
2. Qualified in relevant trades (i.e., Carpentry, plastering, decorating or equivalent)
3. Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
4. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
5. An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
6. Competent in the use of tablet or computers and data handling including PDA & Microsoft Office
