Corporate Finance: The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business has extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients. In addition, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success and offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities.

Scope: The Technology team at Houlihan Lokey are looking to add an experienced Financial Analyst in Manchester. The environment at Houlihan Lokey is both collegial and entrepreneurial. Teamwork is essential to the firm's success. At the same time, creativity and new ideas are encouraged.
Responsibilities: As a Financial Analyst, you will:
1. Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information.
2. Create financial models.
3. Coordinate and perform business due diligence.
4. Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations.
5. Conduct research on sectors, companies and potential buyers.
6. Value companies and businesses.
7. Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisors.
8. Assist in planning of engagements.
Qualifications:
1. Strong Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2. 1-2 years of full-time investment banking experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
3. Experience within transactional services, consulting or corporate development also considered.
4. Experience in executing sell-side transactions preferable.
5. Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
6. Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory.
7. Excellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations.
8. An excellent understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members.
11. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and hit deadlines in a highly organised manner.
12. An independent, solutions-focused mind-set.
