Nurture, family learning and supporting and engaging families continues to be a key priority for the Council.
The Family Learning Assistant will work as part of a school locality. The successful candidate will support schools to deliver key nurture and family learning projects that can bring families into the school community and aim to support parents to engage in their child's learning.
The role will involve raising awareness of support and services available within schools and the local community, as well as becoming a supportive point of contact for children, parents and carers.
Responsibilities:
1. Support schools in delivering family learning projects.
2. Raise awareness of available support and services.
3. Act as a point of contact for children, parents, and carers.
Qualifications:
1. Strong knowledge of child development, attachment theory, nurture principles, and play approaches.
2. Proven experience of working with multi-agency partners.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
