Summary About the position: This position is located at the Marketing Office on RAF Croughton. This TEMPORARY position may be terminated earlier than 30 SEPTEMBER 2025 if the condition that required it ceases to exist. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Responsibilities Assists Marketing Director in overseeing the efforts of the marketing department. Advises on implementation of the marketing strategy which includes campaigns, events, digital marketing, and public relations. Creates marketing and communication strategies for the organization. Reviews applicable media to include the 422 ABS website, calendar entries, closures and other facility details. Coordinates marketing projects and major events from start to finish. Conducts research and analyzes trends in products and/or services offered to develop marketing strategies for new and existing products and services. Carries out continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends. Works closely with product management team to define marketing materials and programs. Develops and coordinates brand strategy and awareness. Launches and maintains commercial sponsorship with businesses by establishing and meeting their marketing objectives. Generates commercial sponsorship proposals. Maintains all applicable social media for 422 ABS facilities. Maintains contacts with outside organizations within the community for the purpose of exchanging information and working in programs of mutual interest. Provides public affairs and public relations services for the Force Support Squadron with other base agencies. Prepares, justifies, and submits annual budget resource requirements. Monitors expenditures and uses cost-benefit thinking to set priorities. Attends and briefs at meetings on behalf of FSS. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities and deadlines. Assures that mission and accuracy requirements are met; selects employees; hears and resolves grievances and complaints; initiates corrective and/or adverse action for performance or conduct; schedules and grants leave; identifies training needs. Appraises performance with established guidelines. Provides appropriate recognition and feedback for employee performance. Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN RESUME): Ability to communicate effectively (orally & written). Previous supervisory experience and/or knowledge of Services programs are highly desirable. Must have demonstrated specialized experience with Microsoft office and WordPress. Must have specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using Adobe CSS (to include at a minimum: Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) Minimum requirements of spell checking Changing a text box and text editing Must have experience or education which provides a general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices Marketing related degree is desired but not required. Must demonstrate good customer service, strong communication skills and ability to work with little supervision. Must have knowledge of applicable Air Force policies. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
